Research on the Impact of Faith Transitions
Though separate from my clinical work, my research is an important part of my professional identity and overlaps with the clinical work I do. My research focuses, primarily, on: (1) the impact of faith transitions on identity, relationships, and overall health and well-being and (2) improving training for student therapists.Â
Faith Transitions Research
Currently, my research on faith transitions is focused on how families maintain connection and positive relationships after one or more individuals in the family leave the family's faith. Additionally, I am working on several studies about how therapists can effectively work with clients who are experiencing religious doubt, religious deconstruction, and/or religious exit.
